"Be pilgrims of hope and builders of peace." - Pope Francis
As we embark on a new academic year, I invite you to rejoice in the journey ahead. The years 2025 to 2026 hold special significance, marking the Jubilee year of 2025 and the 80th Anniversary of the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong in 2026. We are also excited to prepare for our school’s 45th Anniversary, a milestone that resonates deeply with our theme of "Pilgrims of Hope".
This theme is more than just a slogan; it embodies our mission as a school. As pilgrims, we embrace the spirit of hope that guides us through challenges and inspires us to seek peace in our relationships with one another. Together, we are called to build an environment that reflects the love and respect exemplified by Jesus in His life.
In our second year of the school development plan, we will continue to emphasize innovative teaching practices, including the integration of artificial intelligence in our classrooms. Our goal is to cater to the diverse needs of our learners, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive. This year, "Respect" will be the key virtue at Shun Lee. We encourage our students to show respect toward the community - teachers, peers, and families alike. Just as Jesus demonstrated compassion for everyone, we too will strive to embody these qualities in our daily lives.
As we reflect on the words of Pope Leo XIV during the Closing Mass of the Jubilee of Youth, let us remember that "Jesus Is Our Hope". He invites us to walk alongside Him, to trust in His guidance, and to cultivate a spirit of unity and love within our school. May this year be filled with hope, growth, and a renewed commitment to building a peaceful and respectful atmosphere. Together, let us embrace our roles as pilgrims on this journey.
Thank you. May God bless you all!
